COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football has two wide receivers with the talent to have a 1,000-yard season in Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson. But doing so was already going to be a hard thing to accomplish in an eight-game regular season and potentially three postseason games. That’s four games fewer than in a regular, non-COVID, campaign. Now reduced to seven conference matchups prior to a likely B1G title game, it seems unrealistic that both players could get enough opportunities to reach 1,000. But that doesn’t mean at least one can’t get there. Olave has caught 18 passes for 288 yards, so he’d need a few bigtime games. But Wilson is still on pace. The sophomore has 344 yards on 24 catches with at least 100 yards in every game. His three-game streak ties him with David Boston and Terry Glenn for the second-longest streak in school history.
