CLEVELAND, Ohio — Former Ohio State center and 11-year NBA veteran Kosta Koufos is looking to return to the NBA after a year overseas, league sources tell cleveland.com. Koufos signed a two-year deal with EuroLeague powerhouse CKSA Moscow last July, which made him the highest-paid American player in Europe. That allowed Koufos — who has played for five different NBA teams, the last being a frustrating year in 2019 with the Sacramento Kings — to get a fresh start, receive a big payday and gain valuable experience playing for a prestigious club in one of the world’s top leagues. But playing time was sparse. Koufos averaged 3.7 points and 2.8 rebounds in 9.6 minutes before the COVID-19 pandemic.
