
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Oddsmakers do not expect The Game to be much of a game, apparently. Circa Sports made Ohio State a 30-point favorite over Michigan in its opening betting line on Sunday. That is believed to be the largest point spread in the history of the series, and certainly is for the modern era. According to Odds Shark, the Buckeyes have only been favored by 20 or more points over Michigan twice since 1995 — and never by more than 21.5 points. No update on what the odds are that the game is even played. Michigans’ game against Maryland this past Saturday was canceled due to the Wolverines’ rise in coronavirus cases. Ohio State has been favored by 21 or more points in four of its first five games this season. It has covered only twice.
