Throughout Ohio State football’s tumultuous 2020, Tuf Borland remains the Buckeyes’ resilient heart


COLUMBUS, Ohio — From his name to his family pedigree to his fiery pregame persona, Tuf Borland was born to be a middle linebacker. His lasting legacy at Ohio State — textbook leadership by example — came just as naturally. His mother, Jeny, remembers Borland talking about a high school classmate who looked a decade younger than everyone in his grade. Later, she learned that when no one else sat by that student, Borland took the initiative to befriend him.
