Big Ten to change rules to allow Ohio State to play in championship game, per reports


Ohio State will be eligible for the Big Ten championship after all. According to Yahoo Sports’ Pete Thamel and other reporters, the Big Ten is expected to vote Wednesday to remove the six-game minimum rule, which would allow the 5-0 Buckeyes to play Northwestern in the conference title game Dec. 19 in Indianapolis. On Tuesday, Michigan called off Saturday’s game against Ohio State because of a COVID-19 outbreak. It is the third game this season the Buckeyes have had canceled, although OSU was only responsible for one.
