
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football needed new stars to emerge on defense in 2020 after losing a bevy of them to the NFL Draft. Some have already stepped up, led by the first team All-Big Ten selections of cornerback Shaun Wade and linebacker Pete Werner. The rest of the voting, released Wednesday, reflects a defense either succeeding without high-level NFL Draft prospects or still looking for difference-makers to assert themselves. Defensive tackle Tommy Togiai and defensive end Zach Harrison both earned second-team recognition. Defensive end Jonathon Cooper, defensive tackle Haskell Garrett and linebacker Baron Browning were all third-team picks by either the league coaches or a media panel.
