Ohio State comes back to top Northwestern, win Big Ten crown


The debate about Ohio State being in the College Football Playoff almost ended up being a lot of wasted breath. The fourth-ranked Buckeyes struggled for three quarters before rallying past No. 14 Northwestern 22-10 to win the Big Ten championship game for the fourth consecutive season. Ohio State entered ranked fourth in scoring at more than 46 points per game, led by quarterback Justin Fields. However, the junior struggled without top receiver Chris Olave, who one of 22 players sidelined for the game. The Buckeyes managed just two field goals as the Northwestern defense, ranked No. 2 in points allowed, stiffened inside its 20 and intercepted Fields twice.
