AP Top 25 poll: Ohio State football doesn’t budge as other top-five teams get shuffled in college rankings


COLUMBUS, Ohio — As far as the college football rankings are concern, Ohio State is clearly a top-four team after conference championship weekend. The Buckeyes will soon learn whether or not the College Football Playoff selection committee feels the same way. Alabama remained the unanimous No. 1 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll after its SEC championship game victory over Florida. Clemson, which defeated former No. 2 Notre Dame, now takes that spot after moving up from No. 4. Ohio State remained at No. 3, where it has been since Oct. 25. Clemson had 1,482 vote points, compared to 1,424 for the Buckeyes. Note Dame fell to No. 4, separated from No. 5 Texas A&M by 41 vote points. Cincinnati, which improved to 9-0 with an American Athletic Conference championship game victory over Tulsa, stayed at No. 6. Those appear to be the main contenders for the final playoff…
