CLEVELAND, Ohio — Ryan Day’s Ohio State Buckeyes take on Dabo Swinney’s Clemson Tigers Friday night in the No. 2 vs. No. 3 seed semifinal of the College Football Playoff. It is a rematch of last year’s game which Clemson won, 29-23. In fact, Dabo’s Clemson teams are 3-0 vs. OSU which might account for why Swinney casually provided OSU with some bulletin board material by rating the Buckeyes No. 11 on his USA Today coaches poll ballot even though the CFP rankings had OSU No. 3. Dabo said he intended no disrespect, but to be in his top 10 a team had to have played at least nine games.
