COLUMBUS, Ohio — Thoughts on former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer taking over as the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars two seasons after he stepped aside from coaching the Buckeyes. 1. Meyer is the first Ohio State coach in more than 60 years to move into another major head coaching job after leaving the Buckeyes. Woody Hayes, John Cooper and Jim Tressel didn’t coach again after their time in Columbus, and Earle Bruce moved on to Northern Iowa, Colorado State and later the Arena Football League after he was fired in Columbus.
