Predicting Ohio State football’s offensive depth chart for 2021


COLUMBUS, Ohio — How does an offense lose a Heisman Trophy finalist quarterback, an unanimous All-American on the offensive line and the program’s single-game rushing leader — and get better? OK, better might be a stretch for Ohio State football in 2021. Only 10 teams scored more points per game than the Buckeyes last season. Only three averaged more yards per carry. Only eight posted a better quarterback efficiency rating. On the other hand, with multiple NFL-ready players opting to return to the Buckeyes, one has to consider the possibility. The outcome likely lies in the legs and arms of some talented returning and incoming freshmen.
