At least nine Ohio State Buckeyes should be taken in the 2021 NFL Draft in Cleveland


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ten Ohio State Buckeyes were taken in the 2020 NFL Draft. The year before that nine Buckeyes were drafted, the year before that seven, the year before that also seven and in 2016, the Buckeyes produced one of their best draft classes when 12 Ohio State players were selected. Ohio State could hit double digits again in 2021. The NFL Draft is scheduled for April 29 to May 1 in Cleveland, so there’s plenty of draft coverage ahead over the next few months. On the latest Buckeye Talk Podcast, Nathan Baird, Stephen Means and I took an early look at Ohio State’s expected crop of draftees. Several Buckeyes who would have been drafted, including receiver Chris Olave, defensive end Tyreke Smith and tight end Jeremy Ruckert, stayed in school.
