Ohio State’s Ryan Day sees ‘maturity’ in Chris Olave and others passing up the NFL Draft to remain Buckeyes


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State coach Ryan Day is clearly biased about whether the NFL Draft-eligible Buckeyes who opted to return to school for 2021 made a smart decision. The return of Chris Olave, Jeremy Ruckert, Thayer Munford, Haskell Garrett and others will help provide the foundation with which the Buckeyes make a run at a third consecutive playoff appearance. Yet Day also has the experience of having been a position coach in the NFL. He knows the expectation to produce right away intensifies, especially for players selected higher up in the draft.
