Sammy Alvarez, the nation’s No. 6-ranked 133-pounder, is expected to be in the lineup for the Scarlet Knights on Sunday at Ohio State (12 p.m., BTN Plus) after missing the season opener two weeks ago. “That’s the plan right now,” coach Scott Goodale said during a video call with local reporters on Friday. “He’s in a good spot, we think he’s ready to go. These next 24 hours are important, but right now the plan is for him to wrestle.” Alvarez did not wrestle in Rutgers’ 26-10 loss to Michigan on Jan. 8. “He’s just not ready to go right now.
