Can Ohio State football’s freshman quarterback challenge keep the Buckeyes’ playoff streak alive?


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State coach Ryan Day is three-for-three in overseeing memorable Buckeye quarterback seasons following Dwayne Haskins and Justin Fields. To go four-for-four, Day faces an additional degree of difficulty in 2021. For the first time in his career, he will turn this offense over to a freshman. Jack Miller and C.J. Stroud retained redshirt freshman status by playing in fewer than four games in 2020. (On top of that, the NCAA ruled no fall athletes would use up eligibility for that season.) Kyle McCord arrived on campus a week ago to join the competition.
