COLUMBUS, Ohio — Buckeye Talk’s 1-28 ranking of the Big Ten’s football and men’s basketball programs came to a clear consensus on the league’s No. 1 entity. With 11 conference championships and two national championships in the past 20 years, Ohio State football has held on to that top spot for the better part of a generation. The Buckeye Talk crew actually came to a consensus on the top six programs in the league, featuring top-10 football programs and Final Four basketball squads. We did, though, clash over how high to rank Ohio State basketball. At the height of Thad Matta’s tenure, the Buckeyes challenged Michigan State for the league’s supremacy.
