COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football hasn’t landed five-star defensive ends in back-to-back recruiting classes since 2016 and 2017. Those two players — Nick Bosa and Chase Young — turned into No. 2 picks in their respective NFL drafts. Since signing Young, the Buckeyes have looked within Ohio to find top-tier edge rushers while alternating five-star ends every other year. OSU doesn’t have to go heavy at defensive end in 2022, especially with J.T Tuimoloau still on the board in 2021.
