
COLUMBUS, Ohio — It is not out of the ordinary for Ryan Day to be involved in Ohio State’s recruiting process — even on defense. However, when Day has become the top recruiter for a player, it’s time to take notice. Four-star junior cornerback Austin Jordan — a 5-11, 185-pound reigning state champion from Ryan High School in Denton, Texas — narrowed down his list of 20 offers to three on March 3. Ohio State, Oklahoma and Texas are all still in the mix for the No. 21 cornerback and No. 173 player in the class. One of those three is not like the others. Oklahoma and Texas are both Big 12 schools, both close to where Jordan grew up. Oklahoma has zero cornerback commits in the class of 2022, Texas only one.
