
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Catch the Ohio State Buckeyes at the right time, and the flow to the offense, the connection between the five players, is as smooth and as cohesive as you’ll find. It’s beautiful basketball, the best that Ohio State’s Chris Holtmann, a coach for 24 years, has experienced. “When it’s moving, when the ball is finding the open men, it’s as good of an offense as I’ve coached,” Holtmann said. The ball didn’t move as much in Saturday’s 68-67 Big Ten semifinal win over Michigan, but maybe that’s a good thing. Because it sometimes feels like the standard Ohio State is setting for itself on offense is so high, the Buckeyes wind up chasing it when it’s not there.
