
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Recruiting is a sprint, not a marathon and Ohio State football has gotten off to a solid start in its 2022 race. The Buckeyes have 11 commits, the No. 1 class in the country, and carry momentum into the spring and summer. Early recruiting success has become a staple in the Ryan Day Era, but OSU isn’t the only program with a proven process. That’s why even with its success, you can’t look at the next nine months as if the rest of the country is chasing it. Alabama only recently got things rolling with four commits over the past two months. The Crimson Tide’s recent activity allowed for the competition for the top spot to officially start.
