COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s 2022 recruiting class has added a fourth player rated as a five-star recruit and it didn’t have to land a commit to do so. No player saw a bigger jump in the updated 247Sports composite rankings than linebacker C.J. Hicks of Archbishop Alter High School. The Ohio native and self-proclaimed leader of the class jumped up from No. 41 to No. 18 and ranked the second-best outside linebacker in the country. This ranking has been a long time coming for Hicks, who at 6-foot-4, 218 pounds may be the epitome of what the Buckeyes seek in their linebackers.
