In mid-December the Buckeyes offered a scholarship to 2023 Lehigh Acres (Fla.) Lehigh running back Richard Young. While the offer from Ohio State was one of over two dozen for Young, he left no doubt it was a big honor for him and he was very interested in Ohio State. That interest is mutually strong. “I’m talking to coach (Tony) Alford all the time,” Young told Bucknuts after landing the offer from the Buckeyes. “He gets in contact with my coach and I call him. I’m talking to Ohio State a lot. Ohio State is definitely one of the schools recruiting me the hardest.” Next up for Young will be a visit to Ohio State.
