Analyzing Shaun Wade being selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2021 NFL Draft: Ohio State football

CLEVELAND, Ohio — When Shaun Wade came off the board Saturday afternoon, Ohio State could officially say that every player rated as a five-star in its 2017 recruiting class had been drafted. The former No. 2 high-school corner in the country heads to Baltimore after the Ravens took him with the 160th pick of this weekend’s draft, becoming the eighth Buckeye to be drafted. Other five-stars from that class include Chase Young and Jeff Okudah as the No. 2 and 3 picks in 2020 draft along with Baron Browning and Wyatt Davis who were taken on Friday. Wade’s journey to the NFL Draft had plenty of bumps in the road. A year ago there was a case to be made that he could be the first cornerback taken in 2021.
