
COLUMBUS, Ohio — It’s impressive that Ohio State football’s 2022 recruiting class has four defensive back commits heading into May, especially when considering that only one even had an offer at this point last year. On May 6, 2020, the Buckeyes were coming off a frenzy of 2021 commits — with Denzel Burke coming in 18 days — while starting the early stages of its 2022 class. Cornerback Jyaire Brown was still living in New Orleans, having just committed 15 days earlier. Over the next year, he’d move back to Cincinnati, team up with fellow commit Tegra Tshabola and adjust to life as an in-state commit while building a relationship with Kerry Coombs.
