J.T. Tuimoloau is officially a Buckeye. Less than two weeks after committing to Ohio State and becoming the final member of the program’s 2021 recruiting class, he was added to the team’s roster along with other summer enrollees. While listed on the roster on Thursday afternoon, Tuimoloau has not been assigned a uniform number, a team spokesman said. He wore No. 33 in high school at the Eastside Catholic School in Sammamish, Washington, the same as fellow freshman defensive end Jack Sawyer, who wore the number during spring practice. Tuimoloau is the highest-rated defensive player to sign with the Buckeyes in the modern recruiting era and was ranked as the third overall prospect in his class by 247Sports’ composite rankings.
