COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State has made the first cut for top 2023 target Jaiden Ausberry. The five-star linebacker from University Lab High School in Baton Rouge included the Buckeyes in his top 10 on Saturday afternoon via his Twitter. Ohio State joins Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M, Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame, Texas, USC and Georgia. The 6-foot, 195-pound Ausberry is the nation’s No. 30 prospect in 2023 and the No. 2 LB. The Louisiana native has 19 offers and attended multiple camps in June, including Texas A&M, Alabama and Ohio State. The Buckeyes have in-state 2022 commitments from the No. 2 and No. 3 linebackers in the nation with CJ Hicks and Gabe Powers, respectively.
