Setting the expectations: Ohio State cornerbacks have to get back to playing like Buckeyes

There may be no more difficult position on Ohio State’s roster to make predictions for or really discuss with any certainty than the cornerbacks. Sure, the quarterbacks have plenty of unknowns given the youth of the position and the linebackers will feature three new starters. But the corners not only will add new youth into their ranks but have to completely turn around what was a dreadful season by Scarlet and Gray standards last year. To review, Ohio State had not only one of the worst pass defenses in the country in 2020, but one of the worst in school history, giving up 304 yards per game and over 400 yards per game against quality quarterback-receiver combinations in Indiana, Clemson and Alabama.
