
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s 2022 recruiting class has had an eventful start to the first week of August, to say the least. On Sunday, Jaheim Singletary decommitted as the No. 13 player and No. 5 cornerback in the country. He was supposed to be the first five-star defensive back to sign with the Buckeyes since Jeff Okudah and Shaun Wade, but never seemed like a complete lock. His quick journey into the class led to his eventual revelation that maybe he pulled the trigger too fast. Then the class lost its quarterback Quinn Ewers on Monday. Technically, Ewers’ choice to skip his senior year of high school in favor of joining the 2021 OSU roster isn’t a loss because he’s still a Buckeye.
