
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Three observations from No. 9 Ohio State’s 41-20 victory over Tulsa on Saturday. 1. The tipped pass fell just out of the reach of Cameron Martinez’s fingertips, Ohio State football’s redshirt freshman cornerback coming tantalizingly close to his first career interception. Three snaps later came the real experience. Tulsa quarterback Davis Brin put it between Martinez’s numbers. The former two-way star at Muskegon (Michigan) High School reverted to his ballcarrier form and began a winding route to the opposite end zone. “I had all the confidence during that drive that we were going to get a pick,” Martinez said. “I didn’t know who was going to get it.
