
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football coach Ryan Day, seeking new life from his running game, gave running back TreVeyon Henderson his first start on Saturday against Tulsa. The true freshman made sure that box score notation would not be his only highlight of the day. On the Buckeyes’ opening series of the second half, Henderson took a second-and-6 handoff from quarterback C.J Stroud. Right tackle Dawand Jones sealed off a block inside, and receiver Garrett Wilson did the same outside, creating a massive hole for Henderson to collect a first down. Unsatisfied, Henderson got in the open field and, when a Tulsa defender slid across to stop him in the open field, cut back inside to hit the seam untouched.
