
PISCATAWAY, N.J. — C.J. Stroud returned after a week of rest and led Ohio State football to a 52-13 win over Rutgers in what was perhaps his best game as a starting quarterback. Stroud completed 17-of-23 passes for 330 yards and five touchdowns while looking much more like the quarterback that won the starting job in the summer. A week off to rest a shoulder injury was the exact thing he needed to get back to feeling like himself against and it worked. “That week off really helped me rest,” Stroud said. “I did every precaution I could to get it back to feeling right. It’s feeling really good and I just think it’ll get better and better.
