
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s second big recruiting weekend of the season may be its most important as targets watch the Buckeyes face Penn State. The only thing that keeps Saturday from perfect is that the Nittany Lions lost a nine-overtime game to Illinois last week, eliminating a potential top-10 primetime matchup. But that doesn’t take away from the magnitude of the weekend. There are more than 50 players across the 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 recruiting classes expected to be in town. OSU can make some significant ground this weekend. For the 2022 class, it’s about providing the final nail in the coffin for its defensive recruiting.
