
COLUMBUS, Ohio — When Ohio State football signed Branden Bowen out of Draper, Utah, in its 2015 class, it was not the sort of recruiting coup that make headlines. Ranked outside the national top 500, Bowen developed into a starter at two different positions with the character and fortitude to come back from a significant injury in between. He has spent time in two NFL organizations. Even teams who compete for the national recruiting crown need those overachievers. The question right now, though, is whether too much of OSU’s offensive line future is staked on another Bowen-like breakthrough. Ohio State signed three offensive linemen Wednesday. Lakota West’s Tegra Tshabola is a four-star prospect ranked No. 114 overall per the 247 Sports national composite.
