Ohio State will host Buffalo to open its season in 2028, according to a copy of the game contract obtained by The Dispatch through a public-records request. The game, which is set for Sept. 2 at Ohio Stadium, makes up for last season’s previously scheduled contest between the teams that was called off amid the coronavirus pandemic. Both the Buckeyes and Bulls, a member of the Mid-American Conference, played reduced, league-only schedules in 2020.
