LOS ANGELES — Jeremy Ruckert has been considered a likely NFL prospect since the early stages of his Ohio State football career. So why didn’t the senior tight end opt out of the Rose Bowl like some of his NFL-bound teammates. For one thing, as Ruckert puts it, “I’m in a different situation than those guys.” In the case of receivers Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave and offensive lineman Nicholas Petit-Frere, a top-50 draft pick might be on the line.
