Ohio State football kicker Noah Ruggles expected to return in 2022 rather than enter NFL Draft


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Noah Ruggles’ final kick of the 2021 season capped Ohio State football’s historic comeback victory over Utah in the Rose Bowl. It appears that will not, however, be the final kick of Ruggles’ Buckeye career. A team spokesman said Tuesday the kicker is expected to return for his final season of eligibility and put off the NFL Draft. Bucknuts first reported the development. Ruggles made 18 consecutive field goals at one point last season, finishing the season 20 of 21 and perfect from 40-49 yards. He was a first-team All-America selection by ESPN. Ruggles joined OSU as a graduate transfer from North Carolina prior to last season. He beat out Jake Seibert for placekicking duties in preseason camp.
