Ohio State has added Kent State to its 2026 football schedule, the program announced Friday afternoon. The Buckeyes will play host to the Golden Flashes on Sept. 19 in the third game of the season. Ohio State has played Kent State three times. The Buckeyes have beaten the Mid-American Conference school by a combined score of 165-20, including a 66-0 victory in 2014, their most recent game. The Buckeyes will open the 2026 season against another MAC opponent, Ball State, on Sept. 5. Ohio State then plays the Texas Longhorns in Austin on Sept. 12.
