
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football has once again revised a future schedule by adding an in-state non-conference opponent. The Buckeyes will now host Kent State on Sept. 19, 2026, replacing a matchup with Boston College. The Golden Flashes are joined by fellow Mid-American Conference team Ball State andTexas as non-conference games that season. This will be the fourth meeting between the two schools with OSU being undefeated in the series. The last came during the national championship 2014 season with a 66-0 win. It has outscored the KSU in the matchup 165-20. Overall this is the sixth game against a MAC opponent on future Ohio State schedules with the first of which during this upcoming season against Toldeo on Sept. 17.
