What Jelani Thurman’s commitment means to Ohio State football: Buckeyes Recruiting


COLUMBUS, Ohio — It may have taken four years, but the Ohio State football program may have finally done it. It’s felt like the Buckeyes have had the goal of landing multiple tight ends in a recruiting cycle practically since Ryan Day took over as head coach. The 2022 class was the closest they actually came to achieving this goal when they landed Bennett Christian and Benji Gosnell during the 2020 regular season and a full year before Signing Day. Christian popped first on Sept. 1, shutting down his recruitment and becoming one of the more vocal members of the class. Then Gosnell joined him on Nov. 4.
