
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Another significant Ohio State football recruiting target has committed elsewhere. Many, Louisiana, linebacker Tackett Curtis announced Monday he has committed to USC. Curtis included OSU in his final three earlier this month, along with the Trojans and Wisconsin. Curtis, a four-star prospect ranked No. 92 overall in the 2023 class by the 247 Sports composite, was perceived to be the top linebacker on the Buckeyes’ board. Ohio State’s highly ranked 2023 class currently includes no linebackers. While the position was not seen as critical for that class after OSU landed C.J. Hicks and Gabe Powers in 2022, Curtis was considered one of the few impact players still in play. To fill that positional need, the Buckeyes may look in state at Glenville’s Arvell Reese.
