COLUMBUS, Ohio — Eight Ohio State offensive linemen and assistant coach Justin Frye spoke to the media on Monday on the indoor practice field of the Woody Hayes Athletic Center after a morning practice. The setup at Ohio State during these sessions is three tables spread out over the field. Players appear simultaneously, and reporters work their way from table to table over the course of maybe 15- or 20-minute interviews with most players. There are typically at least 30 reporters at these sessions, as Ohio State has more than 10 digital and print outlets that cover the team, in addition to local TV stations. There’s no shortage of media around the Buckeyes. But when backup offensive Josh Fryar sat down for his interview session, there weren’t many reporters in the immediate vicinity.
