Ohio State football’s Jaxon Smith-Njigba can pick up where he left off when he returns against Toledo: Stephen Means


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football has had to play all but 15 snaps without its best weapon on offense this season, and now he’s gearing up to make his return. Jaxon Smith-Njigba broke records last season as the Buckeyes’ starting slot receiver and favorite target of C.J. Stroud. Without him, the offense was stagnant in a 21-10 win over Notre Dame. Things were better the following week in beating Arkansas State 45-12, but they’d still rather have Smith-Njigba. His potential return against Toledo should also mean the return of the monster numbers that came along with him.
