On March 2, the third-year Ohio State center underwent season-ending shoulder surgery that promised as much as a six-month recovery period. Unable to fly so soon after the procedure, Key wasn’t able to travel with the Buckeyes to Michigan State for the final game of the regular season. He made plans to drive to East Lansing with his parents for the game only to have a winter weather advisory scuttle that idea. The Big Ten Tournament was a different story.
