Ohio State basketball’s NCAA Tournament streak snapped following disappointing season as it starts anew

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State came within two games of finding a way to put a silver lining on what had otherwise been a disappointing season before its loss in the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament, but now it’s on to the future. For the first time in the Chris Holtmann era, a Selection Sunday show was aired and its content wasn’t f the Buckeyes’ concern. A 16-19 (5-15 Big Ten) snapped a five-year run of NCAA Tournament appearances. For Holtmann, it snaps an eight-year streak dating back to his three years at Butler from 2014-17.
