
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Past precedent says Noah Rogers can make a quick impression in the Ohio State football receiver room this spring. As a freshman at Rolesville (N.C.) High School he stepped into a group of older receivers who went on to play at Air Force, Furman, Western Carolina and North Carolina Central. He was not scheduled to play much if at all in the Rams’ first game, which ended four plays in due to lightning. A week later, the older player in front of Rogers on the depth chart twisted an ankle in pregame warmups. Rogers suddenly became a starter.
