COLUMBUS, Ohio — Given a second life last season, Ohio State football coach Ryan Day vowed to live it — and coach it — to the fullest. He looked ahead to a College Football Playoff semifinal and challenged his program to change its mindset in these pivotal, evenly matched games. He also simultaneously challenged himself. “We’re going to play loose, be aggressive and go at people,” Day said last Dec. 3. “There can’t be, moving forward, anybody in our program that presses at all and feels pressure.
