COLUMBUS, Ohio — Devin Brown was considered available for Ohio State’s game against Michigan State on Saturday coming off an ankle injury suffered against Penn State, but then something happened in warm-ups. Brown went down on the right ankle putting the Buckeyes in a spot where it was wise to not play him against the Spartans even if a one-sided 38-3 win provided a chance to get the backup quarterback extra in-game reps. But head coach Ryan Day assured that the re-aggravation is nothing too serious. “He’s alright,” Day said. “Just a bit of a setback there in warm-ups. But hoping to see him get back on the field this week and survive warm-ups.” So far this season Brown has played 72 snaps in five games completing 12 of 22 passes for 197 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
