The five-star quarterback once was responsible for kickstarting an OSU 2024 class that currently ranks second nationally as the latest win on the recruiting trail then quietly helped build the class from behind the scene. That silence lasted for about six months until he decided almost a year ago to decommit from the Buckeyes, a choice that came within 24 hours of the class landing five-star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith. Raiola reopened his process with programs like Georgia, Nebraska and USC each taking turns taking charge of the momentum before the Bulldogs eventually won out in May.
