Ohio State’s baseball team split a doubleheader against visiting Penn State on Saturday during Senior Day at Bill Davis Stadium. The Buckeyes (27-24, 9-12 Big Ten) won the first game of the afternoon 2-0 behind a gem of a pitching performance from redshirt freshman left-hander Seth Lonsway. The Nittany Lions (21-24, 4-18) then captured game two by the count of 10-6. Ohio State won the overall series 2-1, as the Buckeyes defeated Penn State 4-2 Friday night. Ohio State is currently 10th in the Big Ten standings, and only the top eight teams in the conference will advance to the Big Ten Tournament in Omaha later this month. The good news for the Buckeyes is they have one more regular-season conference series to play, and it will be at Purdue next weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
