With CJ Stroud joining Jack Miller, Ohio State football coach Ryan Day locks in the Buckeyes’ quarterback future


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football made no secret of its desire to sign two quarterbacks for its 2020 class. The only questions was whether the two players the Buckeyes targeted — Scottsdale, Arizona’s Jack Miller and Rancho Cucamonga, California’s CJ Stroud — felt called to accept that plan as well. Both answered in the affirmative with their signatures on Wednesday morning, the first day of the early signing period. Stroud is the nation’s No. 2 pro style quarterback per the 247 Sports national composite. Miller is No. 14. The competition for one of them to become the starting quarterback in 2021 will begin the moment they arrive on campus. That may also start the clock for one of them to eventually move on.
